Hyaluronic acid (HA), also called Hyaluronan, is distributed widely throughout connective, epithelial, and neural tissues, especially in the eyes, joints, and skin.

Unlike hyaluronic acid in cosmetics, which are meant to be applied to your skin and will not penetrate the skin layer. Hyaluronic Acid supplements are absorbed and may assist with long-lasting effects associated with increasing the hyaluronic acid in your body. Which cosmetics cannot achieve.

HA helps your joints work like a well-oiled machine. It makes your skin flexible and reduces the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. Hyaluronic acid supplements may help wounds heal faster, reduce scarring, and relieve joint pain caused by arthritis. Efficacy Studies

  • 100 mg Hyaluronic Acid supplements were taken daily for twelve weeks by 26 healthy female caucasian and African-American subjects. The results noted improved aging symptoms on their face. Schwartz, S. et al. (2012).
  • 107 healthy subjects in China took 37.52 mg of HA for 30 days. The randomized, single-blind, placebo-controlled trial determined an increase of skin moisture and a significant increase of skin pH. Terashita, T. et al. (2011).
  • A randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial of 42 female patients in Japan tested oral consumption of 120 mg Hyaluronic Acid daily for six weeks. The subjects taking Hyaluronic Acid were observed to have a significant increase in skin moisture. Yoshida, T. et al (2009).
  • Hyaluronic Acid was given as an oral supplement in 240 mg doses of MW 80 K Hyaluronan daily. The test was a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial with 22 patients. The results found improved dry skin on the face and body. Increase of skin moisture. Kajimoto, O. et al. (2001).

Skin moisture content changes by HA (MW: 8 × 105) ingestion or placebo.
