Ubiquinol is the reduced, biologically active form in which Coenzyme Q10 exists at the cellular level. Coenzyme Q10 itself is a compound naturally present in every cell of the body, where it is a component of mitochondrial membranes.
Coenzyme Q10 supplements are typically available in one of two forms: ubiquinol, the reduced form, or ubiquinone, the oxidized form most commonly used. Our product is ubiquinol-based.
