The flowers and leaves of the plant Hypericum perforatum or St John's Wort are used to prepare herbal supplements that contain five various forms of hypericin and other flavonoids. These active ingredients work as serotonin reuptake inhibitors, and the resulting higher levels of serotonin and dopamine help treat many conditions, such as mild depression. St John's Wort aids women's health and effectively fights hot flashes and other menopausal symptoms, as well as premenstrual syndrome. The usual recommended and safe dosage is 300 mg taken three times a day with a meal. It might take a couple of weeks for the effects to be noticed, and St. John's Wort might cause headaches, stomach upset, dizziness, tiredness, and anxiety.

    Efficacy Studies

    1. While primarily recognized for mood-related symptoms, St. John’s Wort demonstrated positive impacts on reducing hot flashes and vasomotor symptoms in postmenopausal women (Abdali K et al., 2010; Alieh Eatemadnia et al., 2019).
    2. St. John’s Wort contributed to better sleep quality during menopause, with women treated showing significantly fewer sleep problems (Al-Akoum M et al., 2009).
    3. A meta-analysis of 27 clinical trials, done by Xiang Ng et al. showed that for patients with mild to moderate depression, St. John's Wort had similar beneficial effects to usually prescribed anti-depressants (in this case, when compared to selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors) (Xiang Ng et al., 2017).

      If you believe your supplement has been damaged we offer a free return in the first 14 calendar days from your original order placement date.

      Wrong Item:

      If you ordered the wrong item, let us know as soon as possible. To order the correct item, please place a new order. To get a refund for your original order, once we have been notified we'll try to cancel your shipment and send out a new one as soon as possible. If the first product ordered is already en-route, you'll need to send it back as soon as it arrives. Once it has reached our restocking facility we'll be happy to refund your payment to the original payment method used.
