About Curcumin

Curcumin and piperin are organic plant compounds renowned for their antioxidant and anti-inflammatory attributes. Interestingly, piperine potentiates the activity of curcumin by almost a thousand times, and these two molecules work synergistically. Among their many health benefits, the most notable ones are helping to fight inflammation and oxidative stress, the symptoms of menopause, and memory loss. The usual dosage is 3 milligrams per kilogram of body weight, but even up to 2 grams per day was tested and found to be safe, with no side effects.

Benefits of Curcumin
  • Curcumin and piperin have strong anti-inflammatory effects, and help with arthritis and other inflammatory conditions such as muscle soreness.
  • Piperin increases the activity of digestive enzymes, and together with curcumin, which reduces flatulence, helps you digest food
  • Curcumin has been shown to reduce hot flashes experienced during menopause.
  • Curcumin protects healthy individuals against oxidative stress.
  • Curcumin improves cognitive skills and protects against memory loss.
Efficacy Studies
  • Multiple scientific studies proved that curcumin and piperin have strong anti-inflammatory properties comparable to some anti-inflammatory drugs. Curcumin and piperine are especially potent in the treatment of arthritis, as proved by Funk et al.Chandran & GoelBelcaro et al.Bang et al., and Tasleem et al
  • Both curcumin and piperine help you digest food easier and reduce intestinal issues, as proven by 2004 and 2007 studies
  • 2020 study involving 93 postmenopausal women who were given supplements of curcumin and Vitamin E for eight weeks found that it effectively reduced hot flashes among the participants.
  • 2022 study by Yousefi-Nodeh et al. involving postmenopausal women revealed that curcumin supplementation reduced fasting blood glucose, total cholesterol, and triglycerides compared to a placebo.
  • Curcumin’s antioxidant properties have been found to help stabilize mood and prevent the buildup of plaque associated with Alzheimer’s disease in a 2018 study published in The American Journal of Geriatric Psychiatry
