Spermidin - 3 mg x 120 kapsul

Spermidine is a natural polyamine found in small amounts in our bodies, and foods like wheat and soybeans. On a molecular level, spermidine supports the process of autophagy, which is the cellular way of getting all the waste flushed out. Because this process slows down as we age, taking spermidine supports longevity, reduces inflammation, and prevents age-related diseases from developing1. A study of more than 800 participants showed that taking higher doses of spermidine through supplements prolongs the human lifespan and decreases the risk of mortality2. Spermidine is usually taken in daily doses of 6 mg, and considered safe to use, even though doses of up to 10 mg are also well-tolerated3.

1. A study by Madeo et al. from 2018 found that taking spermidine prolongs the human lifespan and reduces the risk of mortality. Participants, who took 1 milligram of spermidine every day for 3 months, showed improvements in cardiovascular health, cognitive function, and metabolic parameters compared to those who did not receive the supplement (Madeo et al., 2018). It should be mentioned that all authors are the scientific founders of Samsara Therapeutics, with an equity interest in The Longevity Labs.
2. Another 2018 study by Kiechl et al. found that a diet rich in spermidine is linked to increased survival in humans. Participants' diets were assessed to see who ate more spermidine, and they enrolled in it in 1990, at the age of 45-84. There were follow-ups every five years (Kiechl et al., 2018).
