Liposomal nicotinamide riboside uses lipid-based delivery technology to encapsulate NR, helping protect it during digestion and support improved absorption. This delivery method is designed to enhance the bioavailability of NR, allowing more of the active compound to reach the cells where it can be effectively utilized.

Nicotinamide riboside is a form of vitamin B3 and a naturally occurring precursor to nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD⁺). NAD⁺ plays a key role in essential cellular processes, including energy metabolism and cellular maintenance.

As NAD⁺ levels naturally decline with age, NR is commonly used to support healthy NAD⁺ levels as part of a balanced lifestyle focused on cellular health and overall well-being.

Efficacy Studies
  • Studies show that chronic supplementation of NR over 2 x 6 weeks is safe and well-tolerated in middle-aged and older individuals, leading to increased NAD+ levels (Martens et al. 2018). 
  • 500 mg of NR twice a day throughout 6 weeks made the hearts of participants significantly healthier by decreasing aorta stiffness, and it increased NAD+ levels in the blood, as shown by Martens et al., 2017. 
  • As discovered by Remie et al., a daily dose of 1000 mg NR over 6 weeks increased skeletal muscle NAD+ metabolites, affected skeletal muscle acetylcarnitine metabolism, and had a minor positive effect on body composition and sleeping metabolic rate in healthy overweight or obese men and women (Remie et al., 2020).
